What QuickComps Does

QuickComps is a Chrome extension that provides real-time sold comparable pricing data for trading cards during live auctions on Whatnot and eBay. When you search for a card, the extension sends your search query to our API, which retrieves recent sold prices from third-party data sources including eBay, MySlabs, and SportsCardsPro. The results are displayed in the extension side panel.

What Data We Collect

  • Search queries you enter in the extension
  • Monthly search usage counts (to enforce free-tier limits)
  • Your email address (used for account authentication via Clerk)
  • An extension authentication token stored in your browser

What Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect or store your card collection, inventory, or purchase history
  • We do not record audio or video from your browser
  • We do not track your browsing activity outside of Whatnot and eBay
  • We do not collect payment information or financial data
  • We do not store the comp results returned to you

How the Extension Works

When you search for a card, your query is sent to our secure API hosted on Vercel. Our API queries third-party data providers (eBay via RapidAPI, MySlabs, and SportsCardsPro) for recent sold prices. The results are returned to the extension and displayed in your browser. No card data is stored on our servers after the response is sent.

Third-Party Services

QuickComps uses the following third-party services to provide comp data and authentication:

  • Clerk (authentication)
  • Supabase (user accounts and usage tracking)
  • RapidAPI / eBay (sold listing data)
  • MySlabs (graded card sold data)
  • SportsCardsPro (market value reference pricing)
  • Vercel (hosting)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not share your personal information with these services beyond what is necessary to provide the QuickComps functionality.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your search queries are used solely to retrieve comp data and are not retained or analyzed for any other purpose.

Data Security

All communication between the extension and our API is encrypted via HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your browser's local extension storage. Our API uses bearer token authentication to verify requests.
